The Morgan Street Junction got a significant upgrade in its signals and signage on Feb. 15 as crews from SDOT removed older signals, upgraded the actual signal lights, and control systems as well as the street signs for the intersection. Included in the upgrade were audio signal boxes for the visually impaired, which already existed but were replaced with new gear.
Seattle Police directed traffic while the signals were being taken down and new ones installed.
