Firefighters dealt quickly with a room fire that began in a mattress according to Seattle fire people on the scene in the 5200 block of Delridge Way S.W. on May 8.
A mattress fire in a single family residence at 5217 Delridge Way S.W. produced a lot of smoke and did some apparent damage to the home but no one was injured. Seattle firefighters arrived quickly in large numbers and handled the blaze very fast. No cause was yet determined and damage estimate will be produced later.
Northbound traffic was routed off Delridge Way at Findlay Ave., Southwest while the investigation was being conducted
