District 7 Little League tournaments set to open next week

District 7 will be launching its 2014 Little League All-Star tournaments this coming week, with some of the fields including teams from the West Seattle charter as well as the Southwest charter from White Center.
The Intermediate baseball tournament for players between Majors and Juniors gets underway first, with Southwest taking on South Highline National at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 27 at the PacWest complex in Burien. The winner meets West Seattle at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 28 in the three-team, double-elimination tournament's winner's bracket final.
The first championship is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, June 30 with the if-necessary championship scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 1.
West Seattle will be hosting the state Majors tournament beginning Saturday, July 12 and hopes to be there as the District 7 champion.
West Seattle opens the District 7 tournament against PacWest at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Valley Ridge fields in SeaTac.
The winner goes on to play Seattle Central at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 29.
Sunday's winner advances to the winner's bracket final scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 2. The loser's bracket final is at 10 a.m. Friday, July 4 and the first championship at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5 with the if-necessary game to follow at 1 p.m. that day.
The age 9-10 tournament starts Saturday, June 28 at PacWest.
West Seattle plays Seattle Central in a 9 a.m. opener that day and Southwest meets South Highline American at 3 p.m.
The West-Seattle vs. Seattle Central winner plays again at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 29 and the Southwest vs. South Highline American winner plays at 12 p.m. Sunday, June 29.
The winner's bracket final is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 with the loser's bracket final at 10 a.m. Friday, July 4.
The first championship starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5 with the if-necessary game to follow at 1 p.m.
An age 10-11 tournament starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 28 with West Seattle playing Seattle Central at PacWest. The winner of that game plays again at 12 p.m. Sunday, June 29 against South Highline National.
Sunday's victor plays in the winner's bracket final at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 30.
The loser's bracket final is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 with the first championship at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. The if-necessary game would be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 4.
That is all of the action with West Seattle and Southwest appearing on the District 7 schedules for the various age groups.
