Luther Carr has resigned as the head coach of the Chief Sealth Seahawks.
According to Seattle Public Schools spokeswoman Stacy Howard, Coach Carr resigned after a verbal disagreement with a parent.
He was told he could keep his job but chose to resign.
Carr began his coaching career in 1994 at Lewis and Clark High School at Spokane. After several years at Lewis and Clark, Carr took over as the head coach of his old program at Seattle’s Garfield High School then transitioned to being a coach at the University of Washington.
That was followed by time at the University of Montana where he coached the wide receivers and running backs, then to the University of Idaho before joining Chief Sealth as Head Coach in 2012.
