An 18-year-old male was shot in the leg in the High Point neighborhood of West Seattle Friday afternoon around 3:30pm

According to Seattle Police, A large fight, possibly between nearly two dozen people was reported by calls to 911 in the 3000 block of High Point Drive SW.

The police said that the young man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Some individuals were seen by witnesses, to head into the Forest Lawn cemetery and then to parts unknown.

The wounded man was transported to Harborview Medical Center after being treated at the scene, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooter was described as a black male, 5 foot 8 inch and weighing about 150 pounds. He was said to be wearing a red shirt.

Police ask that if you have any information on this incident to call 911. The investigation into the shooting is now underway.
