Firefighters were in and out of a home in the 5200 block of SW Andover after a fire in a dishwasher prompted a call to 911 and an large response from SFD.
A fire call at 12:59pm to the 5200 block of SW Andover drew Engine 29 and 15 more units for a fire in a single family residence. Seattle Fire said that the fire was contained to the kitchen area and that it had originated in th dishwasher.
A male resident, who was asleep at the time, was alerted by a smoke detector and made the call.
Firefighters quickly dealt with it though it produced a lot of smoke.
