A 25-year-old armed robber who broke into a car in the Delridge neighborhood on Sunday, and then threatened a mother and daughter returning to their vehicle was tracked down by a police dog K9 unit and arrested.
The victims of the break in had parked their car in the 8100 block of 20th Avenue Southwest, and told police that when they came back about 6 PM Sunday they found a man inside.
He emerged with stolen goods confronting them and showed them what they believed to be a holstered gun and said “I’ll shoot you if you follow me.” He then fled on foot.
The victims contacted 911 and a K9 officer arrived and was shortly able to track down the robber, who had hidden behind a bush a few houses away.
He was still in possession of the victims’ stolen goods, as well as property from another car prowl. The suspect also had an outstanding felony warrant. He was booked into King County Jail on robbery charges, as well as a warrant.
