A deep frier caused a fire in an apartment on 35th Ave. SW according to the owner, setting off sprinklers and triggering a Fire Dept. response. The resident suffered a minor burn to his hand.
A deep frier in an apartment at 6512 35th SW caught fire, according to the resident and got out of control. "I tried to throw a rug over it but by that time the sprinklers were set off," he said.
He suffered a minor burn to his hand and said while the fire did no apparent damage to the apartment, the water damage from the sprinklers was likely.
