Public meeting on March 31 will discuss new $900M transportation levy
Fri, 03/20/2015
Mayor Ed Murray recently proposed a new $900 million transportation levy program called Move Seattle. The program is funded by property tax and is slated for the Nov. ballot.
Move Seattle would replace the existing Seattle transportation levy, which was approved by voters in 2006. The projects in Move Seattle range from 50 miles of new protected bike lanes to tree planting.
A series of public meetings will be held to discuss the program. On March 31 a meeting will take place at West Seattle High School at 6 p.m. All are encouraged to attend.
