Cynthia Marie TIBBETTS 1959~2015

April 18, 1959 - June 13, 2015

“God has given us a great life. He has been so kind and gracious to us”
-Cynthia Tibbetts

Cynthia was born in Aberdeen South Dakota to her parents Harold and Ruth Bieber. She grew up with her brother Chris and sister Donna by her side. When she was four years old their mother tragically died. The family eventually made it up to Auburn Washington where she would make lifelong bonds with her foster family headed by Mama Bear. She graduated from Auburn high school in 1977 and shortly after realized a dream to move to the “big city” Seattle where she entered the real estate industry. In October 1986, in a small real estate office in West Seattle she met and fell into a lasting love with her now husband of 28 years. The Lord Jesus Christ became synonymous with the two of them. She flourished along with her husband and seven years seven months later was given the gift of a beautiful baby boy, Trenton. When their son turned eight she was diagnosed with cancer. She prayed earnestly, "Lord, please let me raise my son". During her twelve year battle with cancer she earned the title, "Princess Warrior Mighty Cancer Slayer.” She was an inspiration and a source of strength to many people. Captain Larry Ryan said it well, “Cynthia's battle with cancer should be ranked with one of the most profound demonstrations of fortitude in our time. It has earned the admiration and love from multitudes - Friends like myself as well as Family. On the balance of giving and receiving - Cynthia has certainly provided the world much more than received.”

Cynthia’s desire is that everyone would know her Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ. She believes His words that He is the “Resurrection and the Life” that to be “Absent form the body is to be present with Him.” Cynthia knows God’s love through faith in Jesus Christ. She knows God loves her and that He gave His only Son to be the substitution for her sin and that she has eternal life.

Cynthia is grateful for all the love and support she received from her family and friends. On June 13, 2015 at 5:58 PM with a peaceful sigh Cynthia went home to be with her Savior.
