Firefighters wearing smoke gear entered the house on 32nd Ave SW in Arbor Heights to see what might still be smoldering. A fan on a table tipped over and shorted out causing a fire and smoke according to the homes residents.
According to the residents of a home in the 10200 block of 32nd Ave SW in Arbor Heights, a fan on table tipped over, causing it to short out and to subsequently catch on fire. The fire produced a large volume of smoke but the three residents were able to safely evacuate the premises before the Fire Department arrived.
They were shaken up but not hurt.
