The biggest group by far we encountered was at 48th and Dawson. Live music and lots of food made this a gathering to remember.
Big gatherings seemed to be the rule rather than the exception for Night Out in West Seattle at least as large numbers of neighbors enjoyed getting to know each other, share block watch and emergency preparedness information and just enjoy a warm Seattle evening. Aug. 4.
The event, national in scope, is intended to curb crime by creating a stronger sense of awareness and community neighborhood by neighborhood.
More than 1400 such parties were held last year in Seattle.
