A big load of soil at the Delridge P-Patch at 5078 25th Ave SW needs help. More accurately the people at the P-Patch really need volunteers to come and help filter out the rocks in soil that was donated to the garden, thanks to gardener Diane Brooks.

It's a bunch of soil, under tarps (thankfully) that is intended to be put into raised beds for DESC who maintain transitional homeless housing on Delridge Way SW.

Site Coordinator Ta Granados said, "They are intending it to be a therapeutic program for the residents," meaning people would come and plant and grow things as a way to feel good about themselves and have a positive activity.

There's a deadline to get the work done by Sept. 30 and you can sign up to help on the http://delridgeppatch.org/calendar/ for one of the scheduled work parties.
