Ferry Chimacum launched at Vigor Shipyard on Harbor Island
The ferry Chimacum, left dry dock on July 8 to enter the waters of Puget Sound for the first time. It now moves dockside and will enter service next Spring.

On Friday, July 8, the Olympic Class ferry Chimacum left dry dock and entered Puget Sound waters. The Chimacum now moves dockside at Vigor's Harbor Island Shipyard until construction is complete and the vessel is prepared for sea trials.
Chimacum is scheduled to enter service next spring on the Seattle/Bremerton route.
