Alison Grande, Emmy award winning journalist at KIRO 7 Eyewitness News and the 1992-1993 Miss Seafair, will announce the 2016 West Seattle Grand Parade. Alison grew up in Redmond and lived for 13 years on Alki. She is a graduate with honors of Pacific Lutheran University and is excited to celebrate Seafair with ​the West Seattle Community this year.​

The parade begins at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, on California Ave SW at SW Lander St and ends at SW Edmunds St.

The Hiyu Kiddie Parade forms at 10:45 AM at Genesee and California and steps off just ahead of the Grand Parade heading south about 4 blocks to Edmunds. The parades are produced by the Rotary Club of West Seattle.

Previously announced was the selection of the Schmitz Family as the 2016 Grand Marshall of the parade for its generations of public service and generosity to the West Seattle community.

Also previously announced was the award of the 2016 Orville Rummel Trophy for Outstanding Service to the Community to Clay Eals, Executive Director of the Southwest Seattle Historical Society .
