Football
Mount Rainier goes into action Thursday this week, traveling to Federal Way Memorial to play Todd Beamer in a 7 p.m. game.
Evergreen hosts nearby Foster at 5 p.m. Friday at Highline Memorial ahead of an 8 p.m. game between Kennedy Catholic and Seattle Prep.
West Seattle entertains Ingraham at 7 p.m. Friday at the Southwest Athletic Complex with Chief Sealth going on the road to Nathan Hale and Highline to Eatonville at the same time.
Volleyball
Kennedy hosts Holy Names for a 7:15 p.m. match Thursday and Federal Way at the same time Tuesday, with Mount Rainier playing in a tournament at Auburn Mountainview on Saturday.
Chief Sealth will be at home facing Bainbridge at 6 p.m. Tuesday and West Seattle entertains Blanchet at 7 p.m. that day.
Foster, meanwhile, entertains Evergreen at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Seattle Christian visits Forest Ridge at 5:30 p.m. Friday before going to Bush at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Seattle Lutheran goes to Rainier Christian at 6 p.m. Thursday at Green River College and visits Tacoma Baptist at the same time Tuesday.
Girls soccer
Mount Rainier entertains Decatur at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday before dropping in on Foster at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and entertaining Kentridge at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Kennedy hosts Eastside Catholic at 2 p.m. Saturday and goes to Kent-Meridian at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Chief Sealth gets a visit from Cleveland and West Seattle entertains Eastside Catholic at 4 p.m. Thursday, with West Seattle going to Marysville-Getchell at 7:30 p.m. Saturday before hosting Edmonds-Woodway at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Evergreen visits Tyee at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Foster drops in on Evergreen at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. At 7 p.m. Tuesday Foster is at White River and Evergreen at Washington.
Highline, meanwhile, hosts Eatonville at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Tyee goes to Orting at 7 p.m.
Highline visits Tyee at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Seattle Christian entertains Auburn Mountainview at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Federal Way at the same time Friday before hosting Cedar Park Christian at the same time Tuesday.

Seahawks
Seattle opens its National Football League season Sunday with a 1:05 p.m. game against the Miami Dolphins at CenturyLink Field.
Channel 7 will televise the action live.
Mariners
Seattle is at home at Safeco Field playing the Texas Rangers in 7:05 p.m. games Wednesday and Thursday.
The Rangers' roster includes Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela and Thomas Jefferson graduate Tony Barnette.
The Mariners then go on the road to Oakland to take on the A's at 7:05 p.m. Friday and at 1:05 p.m. Saturday and Sunday before going on to Anaheim to play the Los Angeles Angels at 7:05 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
All Mariners games are carried on ROOT Sports cable television.
Rainiers
Tacoma opens Pacific Coast League playoff action Wednesday, visiting El Paso for a 5:35 p.m. game. The Rainiers stay for another 5:35 p.m. game Thursday before coming home to Cheney Stadium for the rest of the series.
They entertain El Paso at 7:05 p.m. Friday, with if-necessary games Saturday and Sunday at 7:05 p.m. and 1:35 p.m., respectively.

Seattle visits San Jose for a 7:30 p.m. Major League Soccer match Saturday that can be seen on JOEtv.
Reign
Seattle visits the Washington Spirits for a 4 p.m. women's professional soccer match Wednesday before coming home to Seattle Memorial to take on the same team at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Storm
Seattle drops in on the New York Liberty at 4 p.m. Wednesday and visit Washington at the same time Friday before coming home to play Los Angeles at 7 p.m. Sunday at the KeyArena.

The Auburn oval is open for 6:30 p.m. action Friday and for 2 p.m. racing Saturday and Sunday.

Husky football
The University of Washington will be at home at Husky Stadium playing the Idaho Vandals at 2 p.m. Saturday.
