Football
Mount Rainier will host Kennedy Catholic for a key North Puget Sound League game at 8 p.m. Friday at Highline Memorial Stadium, following a 5 p.m. South Puget Sound League crossover between Highline and Foster.
Chief Sealth entertains Ingraham in a Metro League crossover at 7 p.m. Friday at the Southwest Athletic Complex and Seattle Lutheran wraps up its season at the same time at Muckleshoot Tribal.
West Seattle is at Eastside Catholic for 7 p.m. crossover seeding playoff action Thursday.
Girls soccer
The South Puget Sound League 2A tournament takes place Saturday with games at Franklin Pierce at 10 a.m., 12 a.m. and 2 p.m. and one at North Kitsap at 4 p.m.
North Puget Sound League 4A regular season action concludes Thursday with Kennedy Catholic hosting Hazen at 6 p.m. at Starfire and Mount Rainier traveling to Tahoma at 7:30 p.m.
Volleyball
Foster hosts Fife for a 7 p.m. match Wednesday and Evergreen travels to White River at the same time Thursday, while Tyee hosts River Ridge and Highline travels to Renton at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
Auburn-Mountainview will host the North Puget Sound League tournament on Saturday.
Seattle Christian entertains Charles Wright at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and Seattle Lutheran travels to Auburn Adventist at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Cross country
Sea-King District action starts at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at Lower Woodland Park.
The West Central District's Westside Classic meet for 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A will be held at American Lake on Saturday with racing starting at 10:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m.
Girls swimming
Curtis High School in University Place is the site of the Class 4A West Central District meet with finals starting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, while the 2A South Puget Sound League meet starts at 11 a.m. that day at Foss High School in Tacoma.
Boys tennis
The South Puget Sound League 2A tournament concludes Wednesday.

Fresh off a 6-6 tie at Arizona, Seattle will be looking for a win when it visits the New Orleans Saints for a 10 a.m. game Sunday.
Channel 13 FOX will televise the action live.
Sounders
Seattle qualified for the Major League Soccer playoffs with Sunday's victory over Real Salt Lake.
The Sounders face a one-game playoff against Sporting Kansas City at 7 p.m. Thursday at CenturyLink Field.

Husky football
The undefeated University of Washington team faces what could be its toughest game of the year so far when it visits once beaten Utah for a 12:30 p.m. game in Salt Lake City on Saturday.

Cougar football
Washington State University drops in on Oregon State University for a 7:45 p.m. game in Corvallis on Saturday that will be televised on ESPN 2 cable television.
