July 14, 1931 – January 3, 2017
Patricia Scott (85) died January 3, 2017 at OHSU Hospital of a hemorrhagic stroke.
Pat lived in Seattle most of her life, only moving to McMinnville, Oregon in 2006. She was a Professional Homemaker who raised her children to believe that all moms effortlessly provided multicourse dinners while camping in surplus army gear, and volunteered simultaneously for two sets of Campfire Girls while creating breathtaking log cakes and the best chocolate éclairs.
She was also a Chiropractic Assistant, an experienced world traveler, and dedicated caregiver to her father-in-law and two mothers. Shortly, after moving to McMinnville, she correctly diagnosed her husband’s Parkinson’s disease, and became devoted to his needs.
Pat is survived by a brother Charles P. Wright of Seattle, her husband Earl R. Scott of McMinnville, their daughters Catherine M. Houser of Salem and Christine T. Duckett of Houston, grandsons Scott, Kent and John, and three great-grandchildren.
Donations in her name may be made to Parkinson Resources of Oregon. “A Celebration of Life" will be scheduled later.
