The next Junction Neighborhood Organization (JuNO) meeting will feature two Guest Speakers from Seattle Parks & Recreation Department on Tuesday April 4th 6:30-7:30pm at the WS Senior Center - Nucor Room.

Superintendent Jesus Aguirre is sending staff representatives to discuss the Open Space or Green Space opportunities for the West Seattle Junction Urban Village - past/present/future. JuNO members learned about a year ago that the WS Golf Course and WS Stadium spaces were included in the open space/green space quotas which made our neighborhood appear that we are actually 'over' the amount of green space needed for our neighborhood. Members were shocked to learn this as the Golf course and Stadium are have a cyclone fence around them and are not truly open spaces like Hiawatha Park or Lincoln Park.
