According to new information from one Seattle Staging Co owner Kate Hull, the "closeout sale" being conducted at the warehouse is being held under protest by one of the two original partners in the firm, Adrian Popa, according to Hull. For his part Popa said the sale is real and continuing.

Hull sent the following letter today:

"To Our Dear Clients and Colleagues,
Recently our company has been subjected to an attempted act of sabotage. Our client email list has been hijacked, and the prior message about our company closing its door and liquidating everything was false. Our warehouse has been made to appear as though it is closed, however it is still fully operational.

We are happy to report that business operations are continuing, we are committed to serving our clients as they deserve, and all appropriate measures are being taken to resolve the situation.

We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to once again working with our clients in the very near future.

This has come about said Hull as a result of a dispute between the two partners and that the email notice about the sale, and signage on the building have been done without her knowledge or permission. She has been advised to stay away from the warehouse on the advice of her attorney. Hull said the claim of a "family emergency" is untrue and that she has been personally threatened by her partner.

When reached by the Herald Popa said, "The sale is as real as real can be. Kate stole my wallet, cell phone and my computers and is in possession of stolen property. There'a a felony criminal investigation pending and I can't say anymore about it." Popa said hundreds of people have shown up and purchased things at the store in the last day or so and the sale is continuing. It's cash and carry only.

Due to a "family emergency", Seattle Consignments at 2501 Harbor Ave. SW has announced they are closing after only 8 months in business. The family owned business was an outgrowth of a furniture staging company that has been in business for two years. That business will close too.

In an announcement via email the company said, "Due to a family emergency we are closing the business and everything must go at reasonable prices. Buy a few pieces or come get it all, everything must go including timers, extension cords,...

We also have 1000's of books, bedding sets, home decor items, throw pillows and blankets, lamps, art work, accessories, also have full racking and shelves valued at over $10,000.00, a 2008 box truck 16' tool room full set up for a mechanic and furniture repair."

They hope to sell all inventory in the next two weeks. They are open from 10:30am to 6pm every day. Due to the nature of the sale, all transactions are cash only and final.
