High schools
Golf
State high school golf action is taking place Tuesday and Wednesday of this week for all classifications at a wide variety of locations.
The 4A boys are playing at Liberty Lake in Spokane and the girls at Meadowwood in Spokane, while the 3A boys are at Columbia Point in Richland and the girls at Canyon Lakes in Kennewick.
The 2A girls are at Indian Canyon in Spokane and the 2A boys at Qualchan in Spokane.
The 1A boys are at Sun Willows in Pasco with the 1B/2B boys and 1B/2B/1A girls at Horn Rapids in Richland.
Track and field
State Class 2A, 3A and 4A action is being held at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, while the 1A, 2B and 1B competition is taking place the same days at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.
Field events at Mount Tahoma start at 3 p.m. Thursday with running events getting underway at 3:30 p.m.
Friday's schedule has field events starting at 9 a.m., with a second session starting at 12:30 p.m.
Running events start at 11 a.m. with awards at 6:05 p.m.
Field event sessions start at 9:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Saturday with running events starting at 10:30 a.m.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m.
Tennis
The 4A tournaments are taking place at Columbia Basin Racquet Club, Richland High School and Hanford High School this Friday and Saturday, while the 3A is at the Tri-City Court Club and Kamiakin High School.
The Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle is putting on the 2A, while the 1B, 2B and 1A is at the Yakima Tennis Club.

Mariners
Seattle is in Washington, D.C. for games against the Nationals at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and at 1:05 p.m. Thursday.
The Mariners go to Boston to play the Red Sox at 4:10 p.m. Friday, 1:05 p.m. Saturday and 10:35 a.m. before dropping in on the Colorado Rockies at 12:10 p.m. Monday and 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.
All M's games can be seen on ROOT Sports Northwest cable television.
Sounders
Seattle hosts Portland for a 12 p.m. game Saturday at CenturyLink Field that can be seen on Channel 13 television.
Storm
Seattle entertains New York at 7 p.m. Friday at the KeyArena before getting a 4 p.m. visit from Indiana on Sunday.
Both games will be carried on JOEtv.
Reign
Seattle visits Houston for 1 p.m. women's professional soccer action Saturday.
Thunderbirds
Seattle, the Western Hockey League champions, are playing St. John in a Memorial Cup game at 4 p.m. Tuesday, with a possible tiebreaker at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The semifinals are at the same time Friday and the finals are at the same time Sunday.
Rainiers
Tacoma is at home at Cheney Stadium playing the Fresno Grizzlies at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, 11:35 p.m. Wednesday and 7:05 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
The Rainiers visit Salt Lake City for a 5:35 p.m. game Saturday, Sunday and Monday and for 11:05 a.m. action next Tuesday.
Emerald Downs
The Auburn oval is open for horse racing action at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
