Shimasaki takes first place in pole vault in Class 1A meet

Seattle Christian senior Evan Shimasaki scored a first place finish in the Class 1A pole vault at the lower classification track and field state meet held at Eastern Washington University in Cheney this past weekend.
Shimasaki cleared a height of 16 feet, 00.00 inches in capturing the top spot for this year.
Warriors teammate Michael Johnson also had a good meet.
Johnson finished fifth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.47 seconds and also took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.64.
The Seattle Christian boys 400-meter relay secured seventh place, posting at time of 44.54.
