Gunshot and car chase in West Seattle ends in arrest

A deputy sitting in his patrol car with his windows rolled down heard a gunshot near SW 107 ST and 15 Ave SW.
The deputy then observed a suspicious vehicle in the area and drove behind it. The vehicle took off and the deputy activated his emergency vehicle equipment.
The driver failed to stop for the deputy. The pursuit lasted just over a minute before the suspect crashed his vehicle and fled on foot. K-9 was able to successfully locate the suspect about 4 blocks from the accident.
Bullets were found on the suspect. A bomb dog is currently searching for evidence. The suspect was treated at the scene by medics and booked into jail. No other citizens were injured.
During the incident South Seattle Community College was in lock down for safety. The school has since been reopened.
