For a fun summer afternoon with family or friends, come fly kites at the Garden’s ridge-top site. Bring your own or buy an inexpensive one at the festival. Activities for all ages include kite flying demonstrations, displays, and kite coloring/decoration. Put your own creative stamp on a kite — materials provided — and prizes for children.

This fifth annual festival also includes a martial arts demonstration, cultural entertainment, and refreshments. Sunshine is in the forecast, so come see what else will appear in the Garden sky.

$3 Suggested adult donation (age 18 and older)

Location: 6000 16th Avenue SW, North Entrance at South Seattle Community College (plentiful parking, $3 at ticket machine)
