SALMON CREEK--West Seattle waltzed over Federal Way to the tune of a 12-2 victory Tuesday evening in a winner's bracket semifinal of the age 9-11 Little League all-star baseball state tournament.
With the third straight win in the tournament the Westsiders will now face Kirkland American in the winner's bracket final at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Salmon Creek.
The winner advances straight to Saturday's 10 a.m. championship and would need to be defeated twice by the loser's bracket champion to be knocked off. The if-necessary championship would follow at 1 p.m.
Kirkland American also rides a lopsided victory into Wednesday's game against West Seattle, having dealt Mill Creek an 11-4 defeat in its game Tuesday.
Kirkland American also edged Evergreen, 2-1, and blasted Bainbridge, 23-4, in the tournament.
West Seattle opened with a 9-5 win over District 5 before beating host Salmon Creek, 6-3.
