Assault on Delridge Way SW
Around 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, officers were dispatched to the 9400 block of Delridge Way SW, after receiving a report of an assault. When they arrived on the scene, the Seattle Fire Department was already there, evaluating the victim, who was bleeding heavily through his nose and mouth. The man had been assaulted at a bus stop only 10 minutes earlier. The victim said the suspect walked up and punched him twice with a closed fist, without any reason, before leaving the area on a bicycle. The victim said he was too disoriented and in too much pain to describe what the suspect was wearing. He did, however, know the suspect’s name from living on the street. Officers knew the suspect as well, because he has a criminal history and a weapons caution. They searched the area for the suspect but were unable to find him.
Burglary on SW Morgan St
A man residing on the 1500 block SW Morgan St. was burglarized on Friday, Aug. 18. When he came home from work around 5 p.m., he discovered that his door had been kicked in and all the rooms had been rifled through. Some items were missing. He called 911. When officers arrived, the man had already boarded up and secured the damaged door. He reported missing his Playstation, two cell phones, a computer drawing pad and a weed trimmer. He also thought that a few of his packed boxes. Officers were not able to find any fingerprints. A witness say a white 1990s, Chevy pick-up truck drive towards the home around 3:30 p.m. The truck sat running near the home for 15 to 20 minutes, before speeding away.
Burglary on 34 Ave SW
An officer was on patrol on Wednesday, Aug. 16 – and flagged down by a victim of a burglary that occurred on the 6500 block of 34 Ave SW. The man showed the officer to his backyard, where he keeps his gate unlocked. The victim left for work at 7 a.m. When he returned home at 7 p.m., he noticed his gate was pushed open and went into the backyard to investigate. He then walked into the garage and found several boxes were missing. In addition, someone had defecated in the floor in the corner of the room. The victim said that someone had broken into his garage two weeks ago but the suspect did not take any valuable items.
