A woman from Mercer Island attempting to take a left on Lander Street SW from Admiral Way apparently surprised the driver of a Honda SUV headed westbound on Thursday night. The result
Nobody was hurt but both the woman's car and the West Seattle man's SUV were badly damaged.
Her car, a Honda Accord suffered front end damage while the man's SUV ended up on it's side, airbags deployed. Seattle Fire Dept. people managed to get him out through the passenger side door and he was unhurt. The lady said she "bumped her head pretty good" but appeared to be otherwise ok.
Traffic was not stopped but was being managed by Seattle Police on the scene.
