In an annual tradition, Nucor Steel, this year with contractor Omega Morgan, gathered more than 4,740 pounds of food and contributed $14,349 in cash to the West Seattle Food Bank. 

Nucor employees made cash donations of $751 which Nucor matched at $2 per donation and then they kicked in an additional $3,367 bringing the total donation to more than $15,000.

They brought the food and money to the Food Bank on Dec. 11 and presented a letter from Nucor's Controller Walter Reese.

Omega Morgan is responsible for putting up many of the construction cranes in the City of Seattle.
