Homeless encampments are being addressed all over the Seattle area under Mayor Bruce Harrell's more comprehensive plans to deal with homelessness. While the larger encampments are undoubtedly more complex and take more time, they are dealing with smaller ones as well. 

For the past six months or more, Totem Pole Park, just adjacent to both the West Seattle Golf Course and Camp Long on 35th Ave SW has been a place where some campers have set up, often creating a mess at the site. 

But that park has been temporarily closed and the campers are gone. Calls to the Seattle Parks Department for more details were unsuccessful.

A larger remediation effort is planned for June 16 on SW Andover Street where RV's have been parked for many months. The city's 72 hour parking rule was suspended during COVID but was recently reinstated.
