Children of all ages celebrated Easter at the Ballard Community Center last Saturday during their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Older kids searched for Easter eggs on the playfield, while the young ones were in the gymnasium, where plastic eggs were spread out on the floor. Inside the eggs were candy and little slips of paper to earn prizes like chocolate bunnies, stuffed rabbits and toy packages.
"There's probably going to be eggs and stuff," said seven-year-old Joseph Currin, anticipating the hunt.
It's almost Earth Day and some neighborhood groups will use that day to launch community clean-ups to celebrate their neighborhoods and drum up enthusiasm for community projects.

They can be seen in coffee shops around the neighborhood, busily hunched over laptop screens, a latte in one hand and a touch pad in the other.
Identity theft is among the fastest growing crimes in the United States. According to a Harris survey, victims of identity theft increased by 20% between 2001 and 2002, and 80% between 2002-2003. Another study, by the Identity Theft Resource Center, found that victims spend an average of 600 hours undoing the damage caused by identity theft.
