Local woman makes good in Nashville

Candy Paull could easily be dubbed the "local girl who made good."

A friend and neighbor to many in the Highline area, Paull pursues her dreams -- a classic example of someone who took a courageous leap of faith.

Burien tags grafitti for quick removal

Burien residents and businesses are being urged to take action against a rash of graffiti taggings this spring.

The best thing people can do, Burien police and city officials say, is to report the graffiti so that it can be removed or covered up immediately, or remove or paint over it themselves.

The city council, concerned about the image that graffiti conveys, has given support for a proactive anti-graffiti program where residents and business owners can obtain at no charge a cleaner to remove the markings or paint and applicators to paint over it.

His wife, Averill, said she is worried about the crime in White Center as well.

"I like Burien.

Goodbye to Larry's

I have been a loyal Larry's market customer for years and while I have noticed my Larry's (Tukwila) seems to have lost a step lately, I was floored to learn that they would be going out of business.

I just returned from shopping and I have to tell you that my Larry's seems to have just given up. I needed some soy milk and was checking the date and was a little surprised to find out it expired Nov. 2005!
