Dan Austin named West Seattle Parade Grand Marshall; Parade is July 23 at 11am
The West Seattle Grand Parade, which up until the pandemic occurred annually since 1935, is hosted by the West Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and is one of the oldest and most beloved community events in the Seattle area.
The Grand Marshall this year is Dan Austin, owner of Peel and Press in the Morgan Junction and the Flight Path Tavern in Boulevard Park.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be chosen as Grand Marshall,” Austin said, “I’m currently practicing my parade wave and looking forward to seeing many of my friends and neighbors on the parade route.
