Alki Ave Speed humps and in lane stop signs now complete

If you have not driven on Alki Ave SW for awhile, you may be surprised. Once the scene of nightly cruising often punctuated by cars and motorcycles suddenly speeding up, the popular street now has speed humps and in-lane stop sign reminders for the safety of pedestrians.

SDOT installed two speed humps and in-lane pedestrian crosswalk signs on the west end of Alki Ave SW. This is a location where many people cross the street to access the beach and nearby businesses.
