Amanda Knox releases statement on her re-conviction in an Italian court

Former West Seattleite also shared statement made to the court

Amanda Knox lost her bid to have her conviction for slandering her former boss overturned in an Italian court. Instead, they found her guilty. She was famously first convicted of the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and then later freed when the conviction was overturned. Italy previously threw out the slander conviction in November 2023, and ruled the 2007 police statements were inadmissible and ordered a new trial. The reconviction sentence is three years but she served her time during her four-year stay in an Italian prison from the murder conviction.

She is now 36 years old and has two children with husband Chris Robinson.

She released a statement about the matter and her statement made to the Italian court.

ReThinkTheLink led a walking tour of likely light rail route

Group is not opposed to transit but prefers the No Build option; EIS due this summer

With the final Environmental impact statement due this summer for Sound Transit’s West Seattle light rail extension the group ReThinkTheLink held their second route walk through on Sunday June 9 not to protest the project but as they said, so the public could be better informed of the “scale, scope and impacts” of the plans thus far.

A group of about 35 people joined the organizers on a looping walk from the West Seattle Health Club, whose pool under the current plan is set to be eliminated, up through north Delridge where a series of businesses will be removed, out to mid span on the lower Spokane Street Bridge and back.

It was led by Alan McMurray who has a job in SODO near where the West Seattle link will stop.

Pat's View: Want to make movies? You and thousands of others will be able to soon enough

By Patrick Robinson (and Chat GPT)

Many people doubt that AI can replace human creativity. At some levels that certainly true. But that argument may become irrelevant. I came up with a simple movie script idea and fed it to Chat GPT. Which today is quite rudimentary but is SOON going to be able to not only write the full script.. but actually CREATE THE FULL MOVIE. likely within the next two years I'd guess.

See this site for the very early beginnings of what is possible TODAY and bear in mind it's improving FAST.
