Police responded to reports of an attempted burglary at a Ballard business on the morning of March 6th. An employee showed the responding officer a damaged window, and the officer determined that someone could easily gain access to the business by pulling the window’s interior lock. The employee told the officer that he had spoken with another employee who had recently ejected a female transient from the premises. The transient was not found in the area, and the employee said that he was going to search the area for her. No fingerprints were found at the scene and there was no surveillance footage.
