A Halloween scuffle
Nov. 1, 1:41 a.m., 4300 Block of Phinney Ave N -- A man and his girlfriend went to a Halloween party on Phinney Ridge went things turned sour. It's unknown why, but a fight broke out between the man and three males who were described as "black, over 6-feet tall, with medium builds."
According to the man, the three guys punched him several times in the face and took his wallet and cell phone. Two others at the party were also assaulted, but they didn't want to cooperate. The suspects left before police arrived and no one else at the party was cooperative and no further information was collected.
The victim said he had guns at his house and said he would "take care of this" himself. Officers advised him that maybe that would be a bad choice.
A missing handgun
Nov. 4, 9:30 p.m., 1120 Block of Greenwood Ave N -- A man contacted police saying his handgun, which was stored in his bedroom closet, had gone missing. He last noticed it being there on Oct. 25 and just noticed it was gone on Nov. 4. He said there were no signs of forced entry, though he said he had kept his rear sliding glass door unlocked several times during the time frame. No fingerprints or other evidence was recovered from the scene.
A broken Lexus window
Nov. 5, 8 a.m., 5200 Block of Ballard Ave NW -- Someone broke out the rear driver side window of a woman's Lexus at Hotel Ballard. The victim said nothing appeared to be missing from the car. Since the windows are heavily tinted, she reasoned that the suspects may not have realized there was nothing valuable inside. People at the hotel said they will check their video surveillance for useable video.
