New consignment shop now open in Ballard

A new owomen's consignment clothing boutique, Editor Consignment, is now open at a 6706 15th Ave NW near Ballard High School.
The store is open for business Wednesday through Sunday -- bringing contemporary recycled fashion and a rotating selection of essays and prose to shoppers.
Owner Emily Schikora dreamed up the concept for Editor Consignment by combining some of her favorite things: treasure hunting, one-of-a-kind clothing, good books, new writers and community.
"Editor is a place to browse a curated collection of women’s fashion, consign your clothing, ask for book recommendations, or talk about writing. We’re always interested in hearing about your latest style obsession, what you’re reading, and the projects in your head or on the drafting table," Schikora said.
The writer and curator came to Seattle via her home state of Alaska. She loves Earl Gray tea in the morning, red wine at night, reading in bed and her fluffy black cat. Her goal for Editor is to create a place that makes space for and celebrates the feminine experience through fashion, art objects and literature.
