It’s back and better than ever: WildLanterns presented by BECU has returned to the Woodland Park Zoo with brand-new lanterns and themed zones that really will “wow” anyone, no matter their age
Start your journey by shrinking down and exploring your surroundings from a Bugs-Eye-View, where you’ll be captivated by the beauty of colorful plants and pollinators. Then journey back in time to explore the Creatures of the Past, where you’ll meet an array of prehistoric creatures including dinosaurs and mammoths.
Next, wander through the Mysterious Forest where you’ll find lanterns of some of the most elusive creatures, such as tigers and jaguars, and the colorful peacock. Finally, travel to the other side of the globe and experience the craft of traditional Chinese lanterns to see a 200-foot long dragon, an army of terracotta warriors and so much more!
Every ticket sold directly will support excellent care for the hundreds of animals who call the zoo home, as well as more than 35 wildlife conservation projects in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
Festive sweet and savory food will be available for purchase at several locations around the zoo, including the Pizza Corner at 1899 Grove and Gather + Graze Café where covered seating will be provided. Food kiosks will also be dispersed throughout the pathways.
Closed Mondays (except 12/20 and 12/27) as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Members receive 20% off General Admission ticket prices.
WildLanterns will be a rain or shine event and there will be no ticket refunds.
