A power outage in Burien on Thursday knocked out the traffic lights at the off ramp from Hwy 509 to Hwy 518 and points both north and south of that interchange. Fred Meyer store was open but had sealed off all its refrigerated good and was running on backup power.
The outage, which at one point affected nearly 2000 people primarily east of 1st Ave South began shortly before 10am and was partially solved by Noon. But by 12:27pm 152 customers remained without electricity. No cause was announced by City Light for the outage.
