Jessica Lewis and Austin "Cash" Wenner have been identifed as the murder victims whose remains washed up on the beach near Duwamish Head in West Seattle June 19. The remains were wrapped in plastic and stuffed in suitcases. Forensic examination determined they had both been shot.
Gina Jaschke of SeaTac is the Aunt of Jessica Lewis whose remains, along with her friend Austin "Cash" Wenner were found on the beach near Duwamish Head on June 19. Both people had been shot, their bodies dismembered and the King County Medical Examiner ruled their deaths as homicides. Now Jaschke is seeking answers. She has established a GoFundMe page hoping to raise money for a reward leading to conviction of their killer or killers. The page was set up on Monday July 6 and they hope to raise $10,000. She points out that Lewis was the mother of four children.
The page reads:
On June 19, Seattle Police and Seattle Fire recovered several bags containing human remains that were located near the water in the 1100 block of Alki Avenue SW. The agencies initially responded to the area for reports of a suspicious suitcase washed up on the beach. Another bag was also found in the water, according to police.
Seattle Police homicide detectives, working closely with the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, have identified the remains of two individuals found inside the bags last week.
The bodies have been identified 35-year-old Jessica Lewis, who died on June 16 from multiple gunshot wounds. The second body has been identified as 27-year-old Austin Wenner, who died on June 16 from a gunshot wound of the torso.
Both of the deaths have been ruled as homicides.

Has anyone looked into all the calls that were dispatched just the previous evening to a boater in distress who’s craft as reported via seattle police fire medic scanner kept running ashore evading responders many times while calls continued being dispatched by witnesses on shore. When first responders eventually caught up the the boater who did admit to being the boater in distress by stated he was at that point fine and needed no assistance. I’m sure detectives had to of put the two together it was clearly obvious listening to the scanner the night of the 18th this individual was eluding contact from first responders. And acting in a suspicious manner. And the next day these bags are discovered at that exact location head of the duwammish. I would put money on that individual being the suspect.
