Tyee, Evergreen alumni to meet
Friday, Nov. 8 Tyee High School will be hosting a fundraiser basketball game.
The night will be filled with former student alumni and current staff members from each school competing in a crosstown rivalry basketball game.
The action will start at 7 p.m. at the Totems' gymnasium located at 4424 So. 188th St.

Bearcats host championships
The Burien Bearcats youth football program will host their league championships at Highline Memorial on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Admission is free for the all-day action that runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Softball Factory hosts tryout
The ASA/USA Softball National Identification Program, powered by Softball Factory, will take place Sunday, Nov. 3 at Valley Ridge Park next to Tyee High School.
All athletes ages 13-18 are encouraged to attend.
Players are asked to report to the field at 9 a.m. for registration and the event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
The regisration fee is $99.

PurpleStride scheduled
On Sunday, Nov. 3 the Seattle affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will be holding PurpleStride at Seattle's Magnuson Park.
This 5k walk/run is an opportunity to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer while enjoying music, food and good company.
Participants can choose a timed race, run for fun, or enjoy the family-friendly walk. There are also opportunities to form a team to raise funds and honor a loved one.
Registration opens at 8:00am. Opening ceremonies will start at 9:30 a.m. and the run/walk starts at 9:50 a.m.
