Sports events worth keeping an eye on

High schools
Football
Mount Rainier will play on Thursday this week, paying a 7 p.m. visit to Federal Way.
West Seattle and Chief Sealth will collide with each other at 7 p.m. Friday at the Southwest Athletic Complex across the street from Chief Sealth.
Kennedy Catholic plays Evergreen at the same time at Highline Memorial and Foster is at home against Lindbergh.
Highline goes to Renton Stadium to play Hazen that night.
Volleyball
Chief Sealth visits Ballard and West Seattle goes to Cleveland in 7 p.m. action Wednesday.
Scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. are Tyee at Highline, Lindbergh at Evergreen, Hazen at Foster and Kennedy at Renton.
Mount Rainier hosts Kentridge at 7:15 p.m.
Tyee visits Sammamish for a 7 p.m. non-league match Friday.
Chief Sealth visits West Seattle at the same time Monday, while Tuesday Foster is at Evergreen, Renton at Tyee, Highline at Hazen and Kennedy at Lindbergh.
Boys tennis
Foster hosts Highline for a 3:30 p.m. match today as Kennedy entertains Hazen.
Friday Lindbergh is at Highline and Renton at Foster.
Girls soccer
JFK hosts Renton at 6 p.m. Thursday, then at 7:30 p.m. Highline hosts Tyee and Foster goes to Hazen.
Evergreen visits Lindbergh for a 5:30 p.m. match.
Mount Rainier hosts Thomas Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and at 3:30 p.m. West Seattle is at Ingraham and Chief Sealth at Seattle Prep.
Highline visits Bellevue Christian at 4 p.m. Saturday.
West Seattle is at home for a 3:30 p.m. match against Garfield Tuesday and Chief Sealth entertains Eastside Catholic at 4 p.m.
Mount Rainier is at Federal Way at 5:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Kennedy hosts Lindbergh and Tyee goes to Renton.
Foster hosts Evergreen at 7:30 p.m.
Golf
The Metro League Tournament starts at 10 a.m. Thursday on the West Seattle course, and the South Puget Sound League Medalist Tournament begins at 9 a.m. Thursday and Friday at the Gold Mountain complex near Gorst.
In Seamount League boys action Foster goes to Lindbergh at 2:55 p.m. Thursday and Kennedy hosts Hazen at 3:15 p.m.
The Foster girls visit Lindbergh and Renton at 2:55 p.m.
Monday the Foster boys are at home playing Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m., and the girls entertain Renton and Lindbergh at the same time.
Cross country
The Seamount League meet takes place starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen High School.
Girls swimming
Kennedy and Foster tangle at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Foster pool as the Highline/Tyee/Evergreen combo goes to Hazen.
Mount Rainier hosts Thomas Jefferson at 3:30 p.m.
Pro and college
Seahawks
Seattle's Seahawks will try to right their ship when they visit St. Louis for a 10 a.m. game Sunday on Channel 13.
Sounders
Seattle visits Los Angeles for a 5:30 p.m. Sunday game on ESPN 2.
Huskies
The University of Washington visits Oregon for a 5 p.m. game Saturday on Fox Sports 1.
Cougars
Washington State University is in Pullman playing Arizona at 3 p.m. Oct. 25 in its next game.
Thunderbirds
Seattle visits Spokane for a 7:05 p.m. match Wednesday.
The Thunderbirds come home to the Showare Center in Kent to play Prince George at 7:35 p.m. Friday and Kamloops at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
