Born in Seattle, WA September 24, 1936, the second child of Tom and Phyllis (Brindle) Little, Joannie died at home in Everett, WA Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was raised in Burien, WA and graduated from Highline High School.
Anyone who knew Joannie - either as a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, co-worker, or friend - knew she represented the best of all of us. She was a best friend and advisor to many.
Joannie loved the outdoors, Alaska, the family river cabin and her beach cabin. Most of all, Joannie loved her family and close friends.
A a hairdresser on Capitol Hill in Seattle for many years, Joannie ended her working career at Weyerhaeuser in Everett.
She married Clyde Zettle in 1981 and together, they enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and Reno, as well as wonderful times on Camano Island, the site of many fun family gatherings. Joannie was an easy and relaxed host and was always up for a good time with family and friends. Everyone was always welcome at her home.
Predeceased by her husband, Clyde, in July 2013, Joannie is survived by her beloved children, son, Norm Murray of Stanwood, and daughter, Anne Schwieger (Bob) of Snohomish; 3 grandchildren, Colton, Gage and Alex; many beloved stepchildren and their families, Sandi Nichols (Dave) of Salem, OR, Diana Gilbert of Everett, Gary Zettle (Suzanne) of Whidbey Island, Mark Murray of Boise, ID, Lynn Rine (Robert) of Edmonds, and Sue Lippincott (Jim) of Snohomish; her loving siblings, Maryanne Wolanski (Arlyn) of Camano Island, Suzanne Ness (Don) of Snohomish, Carol Anne Spane of Hood River, OR, Tom “Mike” Little (Sandi) of Camano Island, and James Little (Michael) of Edmonds; and many beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.
