Burien, WA – Buddhist memorial rites will be held Friday and Saturday for Kenney Bui, the TEC High School senior who died Monday as the result of head injury.

The public is welcome to pay respects and offer condolences to the family throughout the day. No formal service will be held.

The Bui family has created the Kenney Bui Memorial Scholarship in memory of Kenney. The scholarship will be awarded at Highline's annual Scholar-Athlete, Coach, and Community Recognition Banquet.

The Scholar-Athlete program awards college scholarships to outstanding multi-sport athletes who have shown exemplary efforts athletically, academically, and in community service. The first Kenney Bui scholarship will be awarded to a graduating scholar-athlete from the Evergreen campus next spring.

Contributions to the scholarship may be made through the Highline Schools Foundation website.
