Kennedy Catholic claimed a berth in the Class 4A state championship football game with a 42-28 victory over Emerald Ridge at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup Saturday afternoon.

The Lancers will play at 5 p.m. next Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma against the winner between Graham Kapowsin and Lake Stevens.

Kennedy Catholic carries a 12-1 record into the contest.
