This Sunday, the iconic Lariat Bar at 9827 16th SW in White Center will transform into a sweet battleground for the 4th annual Gingerbread Stomp. And no, this isn’t your grandma’s cookie bake-off – it’s a cookie construction carnage! All proceeds this year will support Stephanie’s Lifeline, proving that even gingerbread destruction can have a heart of gold.
For a mere $20, participants receive a gingerbread house kit, and have a few hours to channel their inner architects. But beware! Only the strongest, sturdiest sugar shacks will survive. At the end of the building blitz, everyone will vote on their top three houses, with votes being tallied in what promises to be the most delicious election since Hansel and Gretel voted themselves out of the witch’s oven.
The grand prize? The coveted opportunity to don a mystery monster costume and rampage through the remaining gingerbread village, crushing the confections into crumbs. Alongside this sweet vengeance, participants can win fantastic prizes, ranging from local gift cards and premium spirits to tickets for the WC Fishsticks and a $250 gift card to Butchers Table Steak House.
Doors open at 4 PM. Bring your appetite for destruction and let the cookie chaos commence!
