SDOT: No Roadway Closures Currently Scheduled for Spokane Viaduct Construction

SDOT press release
Construction activities on the Spokane Street Viaduct Widening Project continue to wind down as the project moves towards completion. The eastbound off-ramp to First Avenue S, as well as eastbound surface Spokane Street between East Marginal Way S and First Avenue S, have recently reopened. First Avenue S has been restored to two lanes each in both north and southbound directions. The combination westbound on-/off-ramp at First Avenue opened to traffic at the end of August so that motorists going from SODO to West Seattle no longer need to detour across the lower Spokane Street swing bridge.
Westbound surface Spokane Street remains closed while traffic signal installation and other work is being completed, but is expected to reopen by early October.
Some other construction work continues at various points in the project area which will likely involve some single lane off-peak closures over the next few weeks. None are scheduled at the time this notice is being prepared, but will be outlined in subsequent traffic advisories.
