Kennedy 9, Peninsula 8
Kennedy Catholic opened its lacrosse season with a 9-8 victory over Peninsula/Gig Harbor on Friday, March 8.
Ashton Pieris scored three goals and had five ground balls for JFK as Anthony Parkers had two goals and six ground balls and Sabastian Farraro one goal, one assist and six ground balls.
Charles Bergseth came through with nine saves.
Boys soccer
Shorecrest 1, Kennedy 0
The Lancers' soccer team opened on the losing end of a 1-0 score at Shoreline Stadium just north of Seattle this past Friday.
Ben Schoedel scored the game's lone goal for Shorecrest on an assist from Alex Ramsey and David Miller earned the shutout on goal.

Saturday, March 9
Charles Wright 7, Foster 5
Foster scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh and final inning Saturday, but still lost by two to Charles Wright of Tacoma.
Henry Cheney of Charles Wright hit 3-for-3 with a double, two home runs and five RBI against the Bulldogs.
Foster was the home team for the action at Showalter Middle School in Tukwila.
