The Speed of Sound Concert Series at the Museum of Flight will feature well known local artists Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands, Star Anna, Day Laborers & Petty Intellectuals Friday, January 31, 2014 - 8:00pm - 11:00pm.

Mark Pickerel was the drummer for seminal grunge favorite The Screaming Trees and has played on albums by Mark Lanegan, Brandi Carlile and Nirvana. Star Anna is a well-known Americana, alt-country performer who hails from Ellensburg. Opening the show will be the six-piece folk-apocalypse band Day Laborers and Petty Intellectuals.

The concert is for those 21 years of age and older. It will take place in the Museum's Side Gallery overlooking the SR-71 Blackbird and other historic aircraft. Concert will begin at 8:00pm and end at 11:30pm. Doors will open at 7:30pm. Light snacks and bevereges will be available during the show.

All proceeds of this event support the Museum's educational mission.
