The Seattle Seahawks are ready and waiting in New Jersey for their second Super Bowl appearance ever after flying into Newark on Sunday.
Denver will provide the competition in the Big Game that is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Met Life Stadium.
The action will be shown in the Puget Sound area on KCPQ Channel 13 and nationwide on the Fox network.
Thunderbirds
Seattle visits Everett for a 7:30 p.m. match at the Comcast Arena this coming Friday and drops in on Portland for 7 p.m. action against the Winterhawks on Saturday.

Men's basketball
The University of Washington visits Washington State University for 3 p.m. action at Friel Court in Pullman on Saturday with Pac-12 cable carrying the action live.
Seattle University visits Idaho in nearby Moscow at 7 p.m. that day, with Gonzaga going to Santa Clara at 8 p.m. Wednesday and to San Francisco at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Both Gonzaga games will be shown on the ROOT sports cable network.
Seattle Pacific is at home at Royal Brougham Pavilion for 7 p.m. action against Saint Martins of Lacey on Friday before entertaining Western Oregon for 4 p.m. homecoming action Saturday.
Women's basketball
Friday the University of Washington Huskies will visit UCLA for an 8 p.m game before going to USC for 11 a.m. action next Sunday with the Pac-12 cable network carrying both games.
Washington State University is at USC with a 6 p.m. start on Friday and at UCLA at noon Sunday. Pac-12 will show Friday's game.
Seattle University is at home against Idaho at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Gonzaga hosting Santa Clara at 6 p.m. Thursday and San Francisco at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Seattle Pacific University goes to Burnaby, B.C. to play Simon Fraser at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and stops by in Bellingham to play Western Washington University at 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

Mount Rainier hosts Thomas Jefferson for a 7:30 p.m. game Tuesday and Wednesday's schedule has Highline at Evergreen, Kennedy at Tyee and Renton at Foster at 7 p.m.
Mount Rainier gets a 7:30 p.m. visit from Auburn-Riverside on Friday as Kennedy entertains Evergreen, Foster hosts Hazen and Highline hosts Renton for 7:45 p.m. games.
Seattle Christian's schedule has it hosting Cedar Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Girls basketball

Swimming
Evergreen will host co-op teammates Tyee and Highline for 3 p.m. action Thursday as Kennedy hosts Hazen.
Mount Rainier will be a favorite in the South Puget Sound League meet that takes place Saturday at Rogers High School in Puyallup.
